Solutions to frequently encountered issues when using BasePrice.

Products & Pricing

Prices not calculating

Symptom: The pricing table shows empty or zero prices.

Solutions:

  • Ensure you've set a base price greater than zero
  • Check that a pricing strategy is selected
  • Verify your base currency is set correctly
  • If using template mode, ensure the template exists and has valid settings

Prices seem too high or too low

Symptom: Calculated prices look unreasonable for certain countries.

Solutions:

  • Try a different pricing strategy — World Bank PPP and Big Mac Index produce very different results
  • Check if there are stale country overrides from a previous configuration
  • Verify exchange rate data is fresh

Overrides disappeared after changing strategy

Expected behavior. When you change your base price, currency, or pricing strategy, all overrides are automatically cleared to prevent stale data. Re-apply overrides after making pricing changes.

Publishing

"Missing credentials" error

Your platform credentials need to be set up before publishing. See:

"No platform mapping" error

The product doesn't have a native product ID linked for that platform. Go to the product's Platform Mappings and add the store product ID.

Partial publish failures

Some countries may fail while others succeed. Common causes:

  • Rate limiting — BasePrice auto-retries, but some requests may still timeout
  • Invalid price for region — The calculated price may not be valid for that store/region
  • Store API issues — Temporary outages in Apple or Google APIs

Check the publish history for per-country error details.

Account

Can't create more projects or products

You've hit your tier limit. Check your current tier in SettingsBilling and consider upgrading.

Features are locked

Some features require higher tiers:

  • Drift detection → Growth+
  • Revenue Intelligence → Growth+
  • Market Intelligence → Growth+
  • Big Mac / GDP / Custom Blend strategies → Growth+
